Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

September 19, 2015

This morning was our scheduled time to prepare our institute lesson.  Since Sister Fanning was asked to speak in Sacrament Meeting late Wednesday night, she needed to use that time for talk preparation.  Elder Fanning prepared the Institute lesson.

We went to see the movie Fantastic Four at the theater on the base in the afternoon.

We went to a baptism for a 58-year-old sister, Coral, who was born in Hawaii.  Her daughter is in the Navy, and she lives with her to help take care of the kids.  Her cousin and his wife drove from Arizona to be here.  He baptized her and spoke on baptism.  Elder Fanning gave the talk on the Holy Ghost.  Sister Fanning gave the opening prayer.  We had snacks afterwards and had a nice visit.  Coral was so excited and grateful for everyone who was there.

We went to eat at Wendy’s while we waited for Staples to laminate some signs for the Addiction Recovery Program.

We got home about 6:00.  Sister Fanning spent some more time on her talk.  She made a copy for the Spanish translators.

Sister Fanning made a double batch of her cocktail meatballs for the Linger Longer after church tomorrow.  She will reheat them in the crockpot tomorrow.
