Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

October 12, 2015

This morning first thing Sister Fanning made a batch of brownies.  She also put a spice rub on 14 pounds of pork and filled two crock pots with it. The pork needs to cook for about 12 hours.

We then went to the store to get lots of produce and sandwich rolls for lunch.  We got two kinds of lettuce, pico de gallo, avocados, apples, mandarin oranges, strawberries, grapes, and cilantro.  Most of it was for lunch tomorrow, but some was for lunch today.

When we got home, Sister Fanning made some chicken salad for sandwiches.  We had sandwiches, chips, and fresh fruit for lunch with the missionaries.  They were very happy with the lunch.  We had brownies for dessert.

After lunch, Sister Fanning started feeling sick.  She felt like she had a fever.  She had a headache and stomach ache, and could not stay awake.  She was supposed to be prepping for lunch tomorrow, but felt too sick to do it.  She went to bed at 4:30.

Elder Fanning went to dinner with the elders and sisters.  Tiffany and our recent convert made tacos for dinner.  The food was really good.

After dinner, Elder Fanning went to family home evening.  He gave the lesson on Living with Intent.  We had 15 people there – a family of five, the sister missionaries, a recent convert who is the mother of a sailor, Tiffany, four young adults, and a single sailor.  It was a holiday, so attendance was down because several people were out of town.

Sister Fanning got up about 8:00.  Elder Fanning got home about 9:00.  They shredded the pork and put it in the fridge overnight.
