We had zone meeting this morning in Hanford. We had a meeting with some good training. We had talked to the zone leaders about treats. We have started to feel that they are a distraction instead of a bonus. No one comes early enough to eat them before. They don’t want the missionaries to eat during meetings – they want them to take notes. Afterwards, they spend too much time visiting and don’t leave quickly after the meetings. We decided to do something that the missionaries can take with them as they leave the building. We took some cookies for treat. The zone leaders stood at the door and passed them out. It worked really well. We will start doing that from now on.
We took the elders to lunch afterwards. We also stopped at Target to pick up some baby cards.
When we got home, Sister Fanning made some salted caramel crispy bars with chocolate drizzle for family home evening. We relaxed for the rest of the afternoon.
We left early for family home evening so we could stop at the gas station and cleaners. Elder Fanning gave the lesson. We had a family of five and a family of three come. The sister missionaries came. Coral, Tiffany, and another young single adult were also there. With us, there were 15 there. We played some new games that one of the families brought and also And It Came to Pass.
We got home about 9:15.
