This morning, Sister Fanning made a triple batch of lemon cookie dough. While she was busy with that, Elder Fanning assisted the Ward by delivering Thanksgiving food boxes to needy members. He came home with two boxes that he was not able to deliver.
Sister Fanning got a phone call from Eliza, who is staying in Idaho with family. Joseph is trying to clear quarters, and Eliza said he is a little overwhelmed. Sister Fanning called the Relief Society President to get some help set up. We volunteered to watch kids if the moms could clean. Joseph also needed repair work done so the Elder’s Quorum President became involved also.
We went to make visits tonight. We first went to pick up a key for Joseph’s quarters. He will be sleeping when the sisters need to get in to clean. We also found out that Betty and Candy will clean his quarters for a couple of hours in the morning, and we will watch the two babies at Betty’s house.
We next went to see Erica, the nonmember wife of Joel, who is on deployment. She just had a baby girl, and we had a baby gift for her. We had a nice visit. Joel is supposed to be home about December 18, but his name was submitted for early return home, so he may get home sooner.
We next went to see a member who was supposed to be deployed on the Stennis next year. He has been assigned to temporary duty and is no longer going to be deployed. His nonmember wife was home but he was at work. We had a quick visit with her, and will try to go see him during the day.
We went to see Hazel and Silas. She is on a boat det and was gone for a week. Silas was home, and we visited for a few minutes. He is a nonmember. We helped them to move onto the base from an apartment a couple of months ago.
We also stopped to see Jimmy and Allie. Jimmy was still at school and Allie was home. She also had her grandmother and Jimmy’s mother there. She was having contractions and was ready to go to the hospital after Jimmy got home.
We got home about 8:30.
