We had another very busy Saturday with very little rest time.
We started the day by working on our institute lesson. We left about noon for a convert baptism. A 17-year-old young man was baptized. It was a very nice service. We were asked to take the Bishop home, and he had an interview right after the baptism, so Sister Fanning went to Target to get a new digital thermometer. The old one broke and she needs a new one for Thanksgiving. When she got back to the church, Elder Fanning and the Bishop were waiting.
We took the Bishop home and went directly out to the base. Sister Fanning had a visiting teaching appointment; however, her companion went out of town. She took Elder Fanning to see Libby. We had a long visit because Libby was having some problems with a teenage son.
We went back home and Sister Fanning prepared the handouts and PowerPoint for our Institute class.
We had a Skype conversation with our grandson and daughter for about an hour. He had a really good week and so he will receive a reward for meeting his goals. We set new goals for the next week and will Skype again next week.
The husband of the Relief Society President had a retirement party at the Church. We were invited. There was a nice dinner, a life sketch, a photo presentation, and some words from his son. It was very nice. We visited with the members of our Ward at our table. We left as soon as possible.
Sister Fanning made a batch of cookie dough for dream cookies when we got home. We had a busy day.
