This morning we took it easy because Tiffany was spending the morning with us. We had leftover scones for breakfast. Sister Fanning made the last two loaves of pumpkin bread for the season.
We took Tiffany to the chapel to meet with the Bishop. We headed for Hanford to inspect one of the missionary apartments. The zone leaders were not able to be there so they left the door open. Their apartment was really uncluttered but it was not clean. We were leaving when they got there. We talked to them about the inspection. They have spent a lot of time concentrating on decluttering the apartment, so now they will concentrate on cleaning it.
We went to Target to get a chocolate bar for our grandson and a wedding card to send to England. We found a one pound Hershey bar. We came home and texted the Lemoore sisters to see when they could meet us at their apartment. We arranged to meet them in about a half hour. They did really well and got a smiley face.
We came back home, and Sister Fanning fell asleep in her chair for a half hour. We went to pick up the Lemoore elders to take them to a dinner appointment. We inspected their apartment first. They did okay. We were surprised that the missionaries did so well in the surprise inspections.
We had dinner with Jess and Libby. The Lemoore elders and sisters were also there. We had linguine with clam sauce, salad, and homemade bread. It was really good. Jess cooked and made homemade pasta. We watched the short version of Elder Holland’s testimony of the Book of Mormon. Something touched Jess’ heart. When he gave Sister Fanning a hug, he had moist eyes when she told him we would pray for his father and son who are both in the hospital. He gave her two more hugs before we left. He is not a member, but is hung up on the fact that there are prophets. He does not understand how and why the Lord would call prophets.
We got home about 7:00. We relaxed for the rest of the evening.
