Today was a long day. Sister Fanning was unable to sleep after 1:30 am, so she was up early.
We went to Ward Council. The discussion was good and focused on people and families. We had members of the Stake Leadership come to the meeting because it was Ward Conference. We were able to get a replacement for us for family home evening on the base; the second counselor in the Bishopric and his family will take care of it for a couple of weeks.
We had a great Sacrament Meeting. The Bishop and Stake President spoke. We had a good Gospel Principles class. We had a young man named Sterling come. He is a friend of Cade. He was very interested in the Church. He is going out on the boat this week for eight months. He was also introduced to the former Elders’ Quorum President who will be on the boat with him, and then came over to our house get a Book of Mormon, and a Bible.
Priesthood was uneventful. Relief Society had Stake President Anderson speak to the sisters about his concerns. It was a good discussion.
We had steak and green beans for lunch. Sister Fanning watched all of the Special Witnesses of Christ videos online and on the DVD to decide for which lessons we will use them.
She had some sickness hit just before we were to leave for Hanford. Elder Fanning went without her. There was no one in the Spouse and Family Support Group. There were five people who came to the Addiction Recovery Group.
Elder Fanning picked up Sister Fanning for Institute. She was feeling better. We had a really good lesson on the crucifixion of Jesus. It was a tear-jerker. We only had three students because there was a tri-stake fireside going at the same time and the speaker was the granddaughter of President Howard W. Hunter.
We got home about 8:30.
