Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

January 18, 2016

The missionaries did not come to lunch today because one of the young single adults made fish tacos for them.

Since we did not have anything much to do until family home evening, we slept in.  We also relaxed and took it easy.

Elder Fanning went out and ran some errands.

Sister Fanning made butter toffee corn for the treat for family home evening.

For the family home evening lesson, we talked about the topics of the First Presidency messages and talks for the last 15 months.  We were not surprised that the number one topic was Jesus Christ.  We had a family of five come to family home evening.  They had just been to Visalia for daddy/daughter and mother/son dates.  The dad took his daughter to a really nice restaurant for dinner.  He went with several other sailors and their daughters.  Their waitress told them that a doctor paid for their meal. It was a pretty pricy tab, but it was really cool that he did that.  We also had the sister missionaries, Tiffany, Coral, Adam, and two other young single adults come to the meeting. With us, there were fourteen.  We were pleased with that number since it was a holiday weekend and several of the young adults had gone to Yosemite.  We had a group play It Came to Pass and another group play Uno.  Whatever butter toffee corn that was not eaten was taken home.

We got home about 9:00.
