Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

February 8, 2016

Monday

Sister Fanning got up late and was not feeling well.  She had a bad night and did not get much sleep.  Elder Fanning was also taking it easy.

We got a call from the elders, asking us where we were.  We did not know that District Meeting had been changed to Monday.  The elders had asked for a ride, but we thought it was still on Tuesday.  Sister Fanning stayed home, and Elder Fanning took the elders to District Meeting.

Sister Fanning took it easy for most of the day.  She made a batch of brownies for family home evening.  We thought we would have a small group because we did not have a family sign up to come.

We left for family home evening early.  Elder Fanning needed to get gasoline.  Sister Fanning taught the lesson on how the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion.  She used dominoes to show that if the Book of Mormon is not true, then nothing else is – if the first domino falls, the rest go with it.  We had five families come for a total of 21 people.  One family was nonmembers.  We had a young military couple come.  Cade, Kyra, Coral, and Tiffany came.  We had two more young single adults come.  We also had the sister missionaries come.  With us, we had 33 people there.  WOW.  It was almost too many.  We had lots of kids running around and playing with each other.  We also had four tables going with different games for the adults and older children.  We had a great time.

We got home about 9:15.
