Sunday

Happy Valentine’s Day!

This morning we did not have Ward Council until 8:30.  It was a god opportunity to sleep in.  We had a short but effective meeting.

As soon as Garrett and Calee’s children came into the chapel, they sat with us.  We watched them before the meeting while their Mom was in choir practice and Dad was doing Bishopric duties. We had a Regional Stake Conference broadcast, but it was broadcast to all of the buildings in our Stake.  It involved to over 200 stakes in Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska.  Elder Renlund was the apostle presiding.  We also had Elder Grow from the Seventy; Sister Oscarson, General Young Women President; and Elder Hamula from the Seventy speak to us.  The talks were amazing.  It was a great conference.

We came home afterwards and had roasted tri-tip and green beans for lunch.  We also finished preparing our Institute lesson.

We left at 4:00 for the Spouse and Family Support Group.  No one came.  We had four people come to the Addiction Recovery Group.  It was a really good meeting on Step 3: Trust in God.  The dream cookies were a hit also.  The facilitator took the rest home for his teenage daughter and her friends who were having a sleepover.  He sent a thank you text later because the girls really loved the cookies.

We left right after the meeting for Institute.  We had a really good class on the resurrection.  We had five regular students and two guests.

We got home about 9:00.
