We had Ward Council bright and early this morning at 7:00 am. We discussed many military families and their needs. Top among them was Sasha and Sabine. We had a really good meeting. We found that if you let the Ward Council know that a young military family needs furniture, the message gets to the Relief Society, and we get texts about furniture that is available. So, another one of our duties is furniture procurer.
We had a recent convert, a twelve-year old young lady, give a really good talk. She got nervous in the middle, but did well for her first talk. Our new Elder spoke, as did the Primary president, whose family is moving soon to the East coast.
Sister Fanning forgot the family home evening handout, so she ran home for it and was late for Sunday School. The Gospel Principles lesson was on service. We had a good lesson in Relief Society and Priesthood on choosing faith.
We came home and had a lunch of tri-tip roast and green beans. The commissary keeps having good sales on tri-tip.
We Skyped with Missa and Quinn. Neither one met their goals and do not get a treat this week.
We left early for the base to pick up Tiffany. We drove to Hanford for the Spouse and Family Group and the Addiction Recovery Group. No one came to the Spouse and Family Group. We only had two for the Addiction Recovery Group. New Beginnings was going on at the same time, and some of our participants were there instead.
We drove to Lemoore for Institute. We had three students. We had a good lesson on the restoration of the keys of the priesthood.
We got home at 9:00.
