Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

March 2, 2016

This morning Sister Fanning called to get some information from the rheumatologist in Caldwell, Idaho.  She found out that she needs a referral from her primary care doctor.  She called the naval hospital to see if they could do it.  They told her the referral from the insurance company was still good, just to get it transferred to the other doctor in Idaho.  However, she will be on Medicare then so we will have to see what happens.  She will call Tricare tomorrow to try to get it straightened out.

Sister Fanning worked on reports again today.  She also sorted out the food and other things that the Browns gave us.  We cleaned and organized the shelves where we keep our paper goods.  She also organized one of the cabinets in the kitchen.

We went to see Betty today.  Austin was absorbed in a show called the Magic School Bus.  We did not get much interaction with him.  We had a nice visit with Betty.  We found out that she is leaving on March 15 and will be gone until August when her husband is back from deployment.  She will be visiting and staying with family in Utah and in New England.  We will miss her.  She is such an asset to the Ward and does a lot for everyone.

We went to pick up Taylor and Bethany and took them to the playground.  We went to a new playground on the base that we haven’t been to before.  A few minutes into the play, Sister Fanning had to take Bethany back home to use the bathroom.  They went back to the park and played for a while.  We all then went to McDonald’s for ice cream.  We had sundaes and took a vanilla shake home to Candy.  She had been able to put the baby down for a nap and take one herself.

We went home for a few minutes and then went to see Penny.  She had told us she would be home, but she was not there.

We went to missionary correlation meeting early.  We had a good meeting.  The elders have several new investigators.  The sisters have two baptisms scheduled.  We took the missionaries out to the car to divide up the food and supplies.

We stopped by Penny’s house one the way back home, but she was still gone.

Sister Fanning finished the addiction recovery reports and got them submitted.

Brian proposed to his girlfriend and she accepted.  The wedding was scheduled on May 28.  We told him that we wanted to come but the wedding would have to be moved up.  Brian talked to Crystal and she was okay with that.  We are hoping that he can meet with the missionaries and schedule his baptism before we leave.  We have not heard of a new date for the wedding, but we will get permission to go to Anaheim for the wedding and baptism.
