Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

March 27, 2016

Sister Fanning had a headache this morning. She slept for a couple of extra hours while Elder Fanning went to Ward Council.  The new Primary President was there and fit right in with some of the unique personalities in our Ward.  The Ward Council is doing a blitz visit on Thursday.  They discussed the members of the Ward that they wanted to visit.

Elder Fanning came back and picked Sister Fanning up for church.  We had a good testimony meeting with so many bearing testimonies that we went over time.  After Sacrament Meeting, Mercy asked Sister Fanning if she knew how to sew.  She wanted her to help alter her sealing dress.  Sister Fanning told her to get the fabric and then they could alter the dress.  We are glad that Mercy felt she could ask Sister Fanning. We had a small Gospel Principles class.  Priesthood did a planning session for the men’s barbeque on Saturday before the Priesthood Session of Conference.  We had a good lesson in Relief Society about the need for the Church.

We came home to frozen pizza for lunch.  We finished our Institute lesson.  We relaxed for a couple of hours.

We left at 4:00 for the Spouse and Family Support group in Hanford.  No one came.  Sister Fanning took a quick nap on the couch in the foyer of the chapel while we waited for the Addiction Recovery Group.  We had three some to that one.

We went to Institute and had three students come.  We taught about the second coming of Jesus Christ.  We took Tiffany home to the base after class.  She told us tonight that she had started her mission papers.  We have seen such growth in her since she realized that she needed to commit herself to the gospel.  She goes to the temple often since she received her endowments.  She had always told us that she was not missionary material.  She was encouraged to take the question to the temple by a returned missionary here in the Ward.  We are so excited for her.

We got home about 9:30.
