Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

March 29, 2016

Tuesday

This morning Sister Fanning’s inflammation was really bad.  She hurt from her neck to her navel.  She decided to stay in bed and rest.

Elder Fanning drove out to Coalinga for District Meeting.  They had some good training.  During the meeting, he discovered that transfers are a week later than we originally thought.  We had a conflict with two things on April 8, but now that has been resolved.

We had leftovers for lunch.  We relaxed for most of the day.

We had an appointment with a military family that recently moved off base.  He is a Navy cook who injured his back bad enough to get a medical discharge.  They started his discharge last October, and he is still waiting.  They moved off base so that they would have some time to job search and decide what to do, and not have to vacate quarters under a time crunch.  We had a nice visit with them.  Sister Fanning was able to give them some information about her Orthopedic Pain Specialist.

We went to see Sasha and Sabine to teach them the second resiliency lesson.  We taught them about spiritual self-reliance and putting on the armor of God.  We had a good lesson.  They missed the class on Saturday due to sickness.  There is a bad virus going around.

We got home about 9:00.

Brian has been texting Elder Fanning about some bad news he received today.  They got news today that their baby is going to be a Downs Syndrome baby.  He is really upset.  Elder Fanning sent him a really good video that we use in our resiliency class. It is by Elder Holland and is called Good Things to Come.
