Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

April 3, 2016

Sunday

Sister Fanning made chocolate chip pecan scones for breakfast.

We watched Music and the Spoken Word and the Sunday morning session of General Conference.  We really enjoyed the session speakers.

Tiffany came over after the first session.  She watched it at the chapel, but the family she came in from the base with had to go back to prepare for work after the morning session.

We had fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy for lunch.  We were able to visit with Tiffany.  She wrote out questions for conference and said all of them were answered.

We watched the afternoon session of conference.  Sister Fanning’s two favorite talks were from that session – Elder Holland and Elder Oaks.

We were able to Skype with Missa and Quinn.  They both met their goals this week.  Our Internet went out in the middle of the Skype.

We left for Hanford for Spouse and Family Group.  No one came for the group.

We had Addiction Recovery Group right after.  We had three people for that.  It seems that our facilitator is struggling with his testimony, so we talked to him before group for about 20 minutes.

After the Group, Tiffany seemed to be struggling.  She was in really good spirits at the beginning of the group.

We went to Institute. We had four people there.  Tiffany did not want to attend, but we convinced her to sit in.  We talked about the Millennium and the Final Judgement.

Sister Fanning talked to one of our students afterwards.  She is in the middle of an ugly divorce.

We know both of them. We have both sides of the story and they are not the same.  She seems to lean on Sister Fanning a lot.  She wanted her advice.

Tiffany also had a meltdown.  She is struggling with her addiction and the desires that go with it. We dropped her at home and spent some time afterwards texting her.

We got home about 9:30.  Elder Fanning went right to bed.  He is feeling poorly with a bad cold or allergies.
