Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

April 4, 2016

Monday

This morning, Elder Fanning went on a walk and went to the grocery store while he was on his walk.

Sister Fanning slept late because she was not feeling well.

She made two pans of brownies for family home evening.

We had the elders and sisters to lunch today at 3 pm.  We had homemade rolls and Dutch salad, with brownies for dessert.

We left early for family home evening. While Elder Fanning was at the cleaners, Sister Fanning got a call from Candy.  She had loaned her car to a friend and that friend was outside the housing gate, not able to get one the base.  Candy had walked to the gate with her three kids so she could get the car and her friend and get on the base.  The security guards would not let her walk out the housing gate.  She called us to see if we were on the base and would pick her up and drive her through the gate to her car.  We did that and then went to the gas station.

We got to family home evening later that we planned.  We set up just in time for the arrival of people. We had 15 people at family home evening – a family of seven, Cade, Coral, Paloma, the sister missionaries, a YSA from the Ward, and us. The lesson was about favorite conference talks.  We had a table playing Phase 10 and another table playing It Came to Pass.  Elder Fanning had the kids in the nursery.  We sent all of the leftover brownies home with people.  We finished early and were home by 8:30.

Tiffany did not want to come to family home evening.  She chose to go to Lemoore with nonmember friends and made some poor choices.  We spent quite a bit of time texting her after we got home.  We also talked to her on the phone.
