Happy Birthday Sister Fanning!

Sister Fanning got a call first thing this morning from the Bishop wishing her a happy birthday.

We went to the resiliency class this morning at 10:30.  We did not have anyone show up except the young women to babysit.  We are becoming discouraged with the class attendance.  We sent out a text to everyone telling them that we would move lesson three to next week since no one showed up.  We will not be teaching any make-up lessons this week.

We went to a baptism in Hanford at noon.  A sixteen-year–old young man was baptized.  He is excited about the Church.  There was a pretty good turnout from the Ward.

Elder Fanning got his boots polished while Sister Fanning went to CVS Pharmacy to pick up a prescription.  The clerk noticed the date and wished Sister Fanning a happy birthday.  The lady behind her in line overheard and started singing “Happy Birthday” to her.

We went for a birthday lunch at Fugazzi’s. The food was pretty good, but Sister Fanning’s tooth hurt quite a bit when she ate.

We prepared the Institute lesson when we got home.  Sister Fanning even got a nap in her chair.

We left for the adult session of Stake Conference at 5:00.  We got good seats.  We saw a lot of people that we knew and talked to most of them.  We got to shake hands with Elder Sabin of the Seventy when he came in the chapel.  We also got to talk to President and Sister Clark.  They wished Sister Fanning a happy birthday.  We had a really good session.  We were glad that Tiffany was there.  Every talk had something for her.  There were a lot of the young single adults there and they all greeted her warmly.  She came to conference because her arm was twisted.  She left conference with a strengthened testimony and all fired up to get prepared for her mission.

We stayed and visited with several people afterwards. We got home about 8:30.  Sister Fanning’s tooth hurt really badly, and she had a bad headache.
