Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

April 12, 2016

Tuesday

We went to get the car serviced in Selma this morning. While the dealership had it, we went to lunch with Elder and Sister Seay.  It was nice to have a farewell lunch with them.  We will not have an opportunity to see them again.  They are working in the prison ministry again.

We picked up the car and went straight home. We had a former missionary, Elder Mitch Walker come to visit the mission.  He is from Minnesota.  He stopped by our apartment at 1:30.  We visited for the whole afternoon and offered him a place to sleep.  He had appointments for dinner and visits.

We went to see Audrey and Sheldon.  He is not a member.  She is less active.  They have a cute little baby boy.  We had a good visit.  They still want to come to family home evening, but have not been yet due to scheduling and forgetting.  They are really receptive to our visits.  We think he might be an option for teaching the missionary lessons.

We went to visit Joseph and Elisa.  She is visiting from Idaho for a few weeks for Joseph’s birthday.  She is going back to Jerome the end of the month.  The baby is due June 1st.  We are hoping to stop either on the way home or on the way to the grandkids in the middle of June.  Elisa’s parents are active and serving a service mission.  She is ready to go through the temple. We have not been able to get Joseph to come to Church.  We taught them the missionary lessons right after we got here.  They came to Church and he received the Aaronic Priesthood.  He now needs to attend Church so he can receive the Melchizedek Priesthood.  He just keeps making excuses.  We are hoping that the baby will make him realize that he needs to get his priorities right.

We got home about 8:30.
