Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

April 26, 2016

This morning we went to Coalinga for district meeting.  We left at 9:30 for a 10:30 meeting.  We had a good meeting with a couple of trainings and some role plays.

We inspected the elders and sisters’ apartments.  They all did a good job with keeping their apartments clean and orderly.

We took them out for lunch at a Chinese restaurant after inspections.  Sister Fanning got another strange fortune from the fortune cookie.  “It’s all right to have butterflies in your stomach.  Just get them to fly in formation.”  The last fortune she got at that restaurant was “Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn.” Not sure why she always get the strange ones.

We drove home and relaxed for a few hours.  Sister Fanning was not feeling very well because of her sinus infection.

We had an appointment with Alice and her three little ones.  Jonah has been on deployment since January.  We had a nice visit with Alice and her three girls bombarded Elder Fanning for attention.

We went to see Coral next.  She is having a hard time with her children. Her Navy daughter, whom she is living with, leaves for Bahrain in June.  She was going to move to Utah, but her children don’t seem to want her to be there.  She may end up going to Las Vegas to share an apartment with a friend.  She has to make a decision pretty soon.

We got home about 8:00.
