Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

May 19, 2016

This morning Sister Fanning took it slow. She got really sunburned yesterday, and is feeling the amount of walking we did at Yosemite.

Elder Fanning went to the base for men’s Bible study.  The base chaplain is out of town.  So they had a small meeting at the home of one of the attendees.  Next week they will have the meeting and lunch there.

We went to Coalinga for Addiction Recovery Group. The facilitator was the only one there.  The other lady who usually comes fell and broke her elbow.  We hope that she can attend next week so we can say goodbye.

We came home to relax for about an hour.

The Lemoore Addiction Recovery Group was small.  The facilitator was not there because his wife just had surgery and he was filling in as the family chauffeur.  The only person there was Astra.  Paul is still in jail and cannot get out until he sees a judge.  The problem is that he has had two postponements.  It is really frustrating.  We had a good meeting with Astra.  She had the opportunity to use this week and stayed clean.  She is reading a lot of scriptures and praying.  We hope it won’t be too long until Paul gets out.

We got home about 9:00.

Cathedral Rock

El Capitan.  There were climbers on El Capitan, but too small to see.  It takes an average of 3.4 days to climb from the bottom to the top.
