Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

July 22, 2017

Sister Fanning woke up with a bad sore throat this morning. We were out of the hotel before 8:00 to pick up the rental truck.  Sister Fanning dropped off Elder Fanning and Will at U-Haul to get the truck.  She went to get donuts and bottled water for the moving crew.

We arrived at the rental unit about 8:45.  Our daughter and her family were already there.  We did some rearranging of the things in the back of our car.  Some of them were going on the rental truck.

The rest of the crew showed up about 9:00.  We had so many show up that several left because there was not enough for them to do.  We had to get a platform of bins put in the truck to hold the mattress for the bed.  That took some time and maneuvering.  We had everything packed by 10:30.  We took more items than we planned because we found out that we were getting a 2-bedroom apartment instead of a 1-bedroom apartment in San Diego.

Will left immediately for Utah in the rental truck. We went back to the hotel to pack and check out.  We drove to Provo and checked into the hotel. There was no parking at the hotel for the rental truck.  We called another Marriott Property, and they were happy to let us park in their lot for the night.  Will relaxed in the hotel while we went back to the MTC to get the last two suitcases.  We took them to the rental truck and locked them in the back.  We also picked up a couple of items from the store.

We had dinner at Carrabba’s Italian Grill.  It was very tasty.  We were glad to get back to the hotel to get some sleep.
