Bold Adventurers

Elder Reed and Sister Vicki Fanning, LDS Senior Missionaries

July 28, 2017

We were supposed to get a new cable box in the mail today.  It did not come.  The sales representative did not call. But we did get an email adding phone coverage to our cable package – something we do not want or need.  And we still can’t record programming. We will start shopping around for alternatives next week.

We decided to try the laundry at the apartment building.  You have to buy a money card for $5 with a credit card.  Then you put money on the card using a credit card.  Each load of wash costs $1.25 to wash it, and another $1.25 to dry it.  We have to walk quite a ways to get to the laundry.  We both carried laundry bags and detergent to the laundry room.  There are no chairs to sit, so we came back to our apartment to wait for the wash to finish.  Then it was back to the laundry room to put everything in the dryer.  Then it was back to the apartment to wait for the laundry to dry, and then back to the apartment. We decided that we need to find a wagon or cart to carry the laundry.  We also decided to do one load a day instead of all of it at once.

We spent the rest of the day today in the apartment.  Sister Fanning rested some and did some computer work.  We also spent some time unpacking and organizing.

We tried eating at Rubio’s Coastal Grill today.  Sister Fanning had been told in Lemoore that they have the best fish tacos.  She thought they were pretty good.  She would order them again.  Elder Fanning had a chicken burrito, and said it was pretty good.

We went to bed early again.
