Sunday

This morning we had a leisurely start to our Sunday.  We left at 10:45 to attend Sacrament Meeting in the Chula Vista 1st Ward.  Today was Fast and Testimony Meeting.  There were so many who bore their testimonies that the meeting ended late.

We left right after the meeting to drive to the Naval Fleet Center Chapel.  We have classroom 3 for our 1:00 LDS Worship Meeting.  We found a plastic bin that had a Sacrament kit, hymn books, signs for the outside fences, and other miscellaneous items.  We got the room set up, put up signs outside, and waited for sailors to arrive.  No one came this week.  We waited until 1:30 and then put everything away.  Even though no one showed up, we want to make sure someone is there in case we have a sailor show up.

We drove back to the Harbor Ward and arrived in time for the last 20 minutes of Sacrament Meeting.  After the meeting, we were able to meet Gabe and Tyler.  We also met two military families that live on the Coronado Amphibious Base.  One of them has been transferred to Germany and will be leaving in two weeks.  The other family said they would bring the trainees to Church next week.

Gabe and Tyler needed to get back to the Base, so we left during Sunday School to take them back. We were not ready for all of the traffic.  Coronado is a big tourist area and there were also the locals who wanted to go to the beach.  It took a lot longer than we expected, about a half hour for an 11-mile drive.  By the time we got back to Chula Vista, Church was almost over so we just went home.

We had salad, baked potatoes, and steak for dinner.  We turned a Hallmark movie on and both fell asleep during the movie.

We did some computer work and then went to bed on time.
